Elaine HEAKES

HEAKES _ Elaine Ruth (EBY). After a valiant battle with cancer, Elaine passed away in Chilliwack, B.C. on November 23, 2004 at the age of 72. Elaine was born on October 26, 1932 in Collingwood, Ontario and at age 5 moved to Owen Sound where she was raised. Elaine is predeceased by first husband Robert Allan Heakes; parents James Melville Eby and Janet Elizabeth White. She is survived by her loving family, sons Harold, Todd, Greg and Jay; sister Anne; second husband James Moffat; grandchildren Kelly, Sean, Andrew and stepdaughter Tobi. Elaine possessed many skills and talents and had a love of making crafts. A celebration of Elaine's life will be held Thursday, December 2 at 1pm at the Rhombus Hotel 45920 First Avenue, Chilliwack. In lieu of flowers, donations will be thankfully accepted at the B.C. Cancer Society, the BC Schizophrenia Society or a charity of your choice.
