PETRETZKY, RUTH ENSOR - age 90 passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012 at Hearthside Assisted Living in Lebanon, TN. Mrs. Petretzky was born in Cookeville, TN to the late Alex Monroe and Virginia Ensor Burton. Ruth was an early resident of Oak Ridge, TN (1944) and was involved in the growth of many of the city's organizations. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge. Ruth was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Spending time with her family brought her the most joy. She was also a long time member of the PTA and assisted in many school functions. Mrs. Petretzky was a member of the 43 Club and the Oak Ridge Lioness Club. She had also volunteered for 34 years at the gift store of the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. In August of 2007, Ruth and her late husband, Paul moved to Lebanon, TN to live closer to their daughter and son-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, her sister, Virginia Maggart of Oak Ridge, TN and her brother, Sam Burton of Montana. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Nancy (Bob) Caldwell of San Jose, CA and Judee (Jay) Barry of Lebanon, TN; three granddaughters, Jennifer (Chad) Brown of Rogers, AR, Melodee Barry of Franklin, TN and Alicia Caldwell of San Francisco, CA; two great grandchildren, Clayton and Caiden Brown of Rogers, AR; brother, Allison (Peggy) Burton of Clinton, TN; sister-in-law, Maxine Burton of Lewistown, Montana; niece, Anne (Glen) Maggart Teasley of Knoxville, TN; nephew, Richard Maggart of Clinton, TN; and niece, Darra Romick of North Canton, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge, TN at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2012 with visitation from 12:30 p.m. until the service.
