Elaine O'Callaghan Obituary
Elaine was born in Worcester daughter of the late Anthony and Adeline (Felice) Collaro and has lived here all her life. She was a graduate of Commerce High School. Elaine was a homemaker, something she really enjoyed. Elaine attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church. She really enjoyed cooking and taking time to be with her grandchildren they were her pride and joy. Elaine made the holidays so special for the family. Those were the times, she treasured the most. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. David Jackman and his team at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and the Visiting Nurse Association for all their kindness and compassion shown to Elaine and her family during her illness. It is greatly appreciated.
At Elaines request, all services will be private and at the familys convenience. Donations in memory of Elaine may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute P O Box 849168 Boston, Ma.02284-9168. The family has selected the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. to assist them with Elaines funeral arrangements.

Don, Sandy, Toni, Joey & Anthony,
I keep coming to this page to leave my thoughts, I find it so difficult to see this beautiful picture of Elaine, it's so surreal...
Elaine had the most impact on my life all during my teenage years.... I would talk to her for hours about boys and clothes... Every weekend I slept over to babysit. On Sat. mornings Gram and Elaine would go out shopping, Don slept in after working late, I would watch you girls....
Sat. night was date night for your parents...Mom would get all dressed up, Dad was so handsome, off they would go....They were still sweethearts...Right up to the very end, their love endured...
Elaine love you all so very much... Each and every one of you made her proud....Elaine was happiest in the mist of her family, always giving with her heart, for she was the heart of her home....
She told me so many times how lucky she was with Don, that he really, really takes care of everything....
In reality, we were the lucky ones for having Elaine in our lives....
I will miss you always...

I'm so sorry to hear of this news. I remember so long ago on Edward Street when I was a little girl playing, Elaine would always come outside and give us all kool aid.. To the O'Callaghan family,
So sorry for the loss of Elaine a wondeful wife, Mother and Grandmother.She always put others ahead of herself, her warm smile caring heart and amazing sense of humor. I will never forget how she loved the holidays most of all Christmas and cooking for her children and Grand kids. Toni your Moms sense of humor stayed with her till the end and I strongly believe that is how she would like to be remembered.
She is at ~peace~ now and no doubt was escorted to Heaven by Gram and Jeff the son and the holy spirits. +
