PAGANI, Elaine Elaine Pagani, of Hartford, died on November 26, 2006. Born in Hartford on March 4, 1937. Survived by her brother Robert Pagani and sister-in-law Deanna, of Buffalo, NY; nieces Kathleen Peloquin of Manchester; Adell Donaghue of Southampton, MA; and Marie Jainchill of Old Saybrook; nephews Simon Pagani of Buffalo, NY; Jerome Pagani of Newark, DE; and Sean-Paul Pagani of Tampa, FL; grandnephews Ryan Peloquin and Justin Jainchill; and many friends and colleagues. Her beloved sister Joan Pagani Donaghue predeceased her in 2001. Elaine was raised in Hartford where she attended Bloomfield High School. In her early twenties Elaine moved to Manhattan where she attended art and design school before pursuing a career in advertising and developing a life long interest in art and design. Elaine returned to Hartford in 1968 and began a long career in law, working for many years as a trusts and estates paralegal before settling in at Wiggin and Dana as the wonderful example of what a professional receptionist should be. Elaine will be remembered for her appreciation of the finer things in life, art, music, literature, good food, fine spirits, and the love of family and friends. We will miss her.

I have lost such a wonderful friend. I came to Hartford every year from Florida to see Elaine and we enjoyed Chowder Pot as well as our dear friendship. I, too, worked with her at Wiggin & Dana. Her loss is such a deep tragedy to me. I wish for her family my sincerest hope for your healing.

To Elaine's Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Elaine was very entertaining as a receptionist at Wiggin. She was there to listen to all of us and tell us her stories. She always looked forward to her lunches every day in Downtown Hartford. I will surely miss seeing her around as I did regularly. May time heal your loss.

My heart and prayers go out to Elaine's family. I will miss her dearly. Especially our laughs and conversations about our favorite foods and treats we share at Wiggin and Dana. May God bring comfort and peace to her family.

Elaine, "Lady of Pairs", wonderfully witty friend of many years. I will treasure the memories of our friendship, as much as she treasured her jade and monkeys! Betsy Giantonio
