DWIGHT PENNINGTON Obituary
He was born on April 24, 1935 in LaJose, a son of the late Kenneth E. and Ruby L. (Johnston) Pennington.
Dwight retired from Penelec in 1990 after 33 years of employment. He was a member of Centre Grove United Methodist Church, Hyde where he served as chairman of the board and also as financial secretary. He served with the U.S. Air Force from 1953-1957.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. (Larson) Pennington, whom he wed July 5, 1958 in Minnesota; four children, Judy Templeton of Clearfield, Lori Skebo of O'Shanter, David Pennington and wife Tracy of Morrisdale; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Pennington of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Jesse, Jared, Kara, Chelsea, Joshua, Paige, Kristen, Joel, Audrey; and five great grandchildren, Reid, Rhett, Wyatt, Cameron and Addelynn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven Pennington; and a son-in-law, Joe Skebo.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home & Crematory, Clearfield on Sunday at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Edwin Zeiders officiating.
Interment will be at Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 5-8 p.m. and on Sunday from 5-6 p.m.
Military Honors will be accorded at the funeral home on Sunday.
