BENNETT Eleanor C. (nee Codding), 89, died on Sunday June 14, 2009 of River Edge for 24 years, formally of Maywood for 36 years. Eleanor graduated with an Economic degree from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1938 and was also a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority at Ohio Wesleyan University She worked as an administrative assistant for Dr. Nelson Walker of Hackensack for 25 years. Eleanor was an active member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Maywood, NJ, as well as a member of the Priscilla Guild, Needle Little Quilters, Marriage Encounter of Maywood, AARP of River Edge , and a volunteer member of VITA in the Maywood Public Library. She loved to spend her summers with her family at her home in Martha's Vineyard. Devoted wife for 61 years to the late William J. Bennett (2005). She is survived by her children William H. Bennett and his wife, Elizabeth S. and Nancy B. Davis and her husband, Jonathan E. . Cherished grandmother of Jonathan E. Davis Jr. and his wife, Jessica, Lindsay A. Davis, Caitlin S. Davis, and Miranda E. Bennett. Dear sister of the late Frances C. Baker.Funeral from Trinka-Faustini Funeral Service, 439 Maywood Ave, Maywood on Friday, June 19, 2009 at 9:30 AM. Funeral Service at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Maywood, NJ at 10 AM. Cremation Private. Visiting Thursday 3-5 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church , 120 E. Pleasant Ave, Maywood, NJ 07607 or the Trinity United Methodist Church, Oak Bluffs, Martha's Vineyard in her name would be appreciated.
