Eleanor W. Fassett

Eleanor W. Fassett 101, of Mill Road, Richmond, NH, died Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Applewood Care and Rehabilitation Center in Winchester, NH.

She was born in Colebrook, NH, May 11, 1913, the daughter of Edwin C. and Blanche (Alls) Day. She grew up in Colebrook attending local schools and was a 1931 graduate of Colebrook Academy.

She moved to Keene, NH in 1940 where she resided until moving to her home in Richmond in 1970.

Mrs. Fassett took great pride in raising her family and caring for her home. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by a son, Paul Fassett and his wife, Judy, of Swanzey; three grandchildren, Mark Fassett and his wife, Renee, of Greensboro, NC, Gayle Dodge and her partner, Shane, of Spring Lake, NC, Jeremy Fassett and his wife, Linda, of San Antonio, TX; nine great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a sister, Frances Bolles of Keene; and several nieces and nephews including Margaret Driscoll, who helped care for her over the years. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Lester Henry Fassett who died in March of 1987; a daughter, Judith Gilman who died November 16, 2007; and a sister, Carlene Woodbury.

A graveside service will be held in the spring in the Monadnock View Cemetery, Park Avenue, Keene.
