Eleanor Musar, 82, of Newell, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, in Mon Valley Care Center. She was born Jan. 3, 1924, in California, Pa., a daughter of the late Steven and Cora Rutherford Douglas. She was a member of the former Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church in Newell and a current member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon. Surviving are four daughters and two sons-in-law, Charla Marchand, and Connie and John Mattie, all of Newell, Carol Gray and fiance Lewis Sweitzer, of Allison Park, and Gina and Albino Perri, of Washington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Polly Musar, of Perryopolis, and Richard and Paula Musar, of State College; 11 grandchildren, Brian and Katie Marchand, Michele Marchand, Christopher Marchand, Teresa Musar, Amanda Musar, Reno Perri, Adriana Perri, Michael Gray, Ryan Gray, Matthew Gray and Krista Musar; three great-grandchildren, Cora Rose Marchand, Samuel Marchand and Lilly Marchand; two sisters, Dorothy Clutter, of Washington, Pa., and Donna Harris, of Big Spring, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Musar; a son, Charles Musar; a son-in-law, Charles Marchand; a sister, Carol Gembauffe; and a brother, J. Robert Douglas. Friends will be received in the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., 334 Main St., Fayette City, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday, Jan. 6, until 9:30 a.m., the time of service in the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Lawrence Manchas as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Coal Center. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation or to the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey.
