Eleanor R. (Craig) Ramsier, 80, of Greensburg, formerly of Tarrs, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007, in Weatherwood Manor, Hempfield Township. Eleanor was born Dec. 5, 1926, at Tarrs, in East Huntingdon Township, daughter of the late Merle H. and Elsie O. (Stoner) Craig. She was married to Edward William Ramsier, who died on Jan. 28, 1983. Eleanor was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She worked for 17 years at Moreland's Sportswear in Youngwood. Previously, she was employed at Candyland in Mt. Pleasant and with the U.S. Department of Navy during World War II as a telephone operator. She loved baking cookies, sewing and being with her grandchildren. Eleanor will be sadly missed by her devoted family; her two daughters, Susan Koscielski and husband, Eugene, of Greensburg, and Pamela Santmyer and husband, Ronald, of Ashford, Conn.; her four grandchildren, Renee Dunphy and Craig Koscielski, both of Plymouth, Mass., Jeff Santmyer, of Ashford, Conn., and Jody Santmyer, of Glenshaw; her great-granddaughter, MacKenzee J. Dunphy; three sisters, Marian Porch and husband, Carl, of Acme, Nancy Harkcom, of Mt. Pleasant, and Helen Ann Berg, of The Villages, Fla.; four brothers, Glenn Craig, of Ruffs Dale, Henry Craig, of Latrobe, Fred Craig and wife, Peggy, of Franklin, and Samuel Craig and wife, Barbara, of Ruffs Dale; a brother-in-law, Robert Bitner, of Kecksburg; a sister-in-law, Sarah Jane Kubinec, of Greensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Bitner. Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale, (724-887-5300/ www.fergusonfunerals.com/ GPS: N40 degrees 06.136, W79 degrees 35.278). Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Capt. Timothy A. Duperree, of the Salvation Army, officiating. Graveside committal service with Maj. Kathleen M. Waddell, of the Salvation Army, presiding. Interment will follow in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery at Tarrs next to her late husband. Love Lasts Forever!
