ANDOVER — Mrs. Elena B. Previtali, 89, of Atria Marland Place, 15 Stevens St., Andover, died Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence..
She was born in Pittsfield, on Nov. 27, 1920, a daughter of Eliseo and Apollonia (Segni) Bovina. She graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1938..
She was employed by Scheaffer Eaton, Division of Textron for 36 years and retired in 1986.. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, cooking.
She was the widow of Richard L. Previtali Sr. who died on Sept. 15, 1968, and they were married on June 19, 1943.. Survivors include a Daughter,. Ann M. O'Sullivan and her husband Jeremiah of Andover. She was predeceased by a son, Richard L. Previtali Jr.; sister, Mary T. Bovina; brother, Carl J. Bovina; and daughter-in-law, Eleanor L. Previtali.
ARRANGEMENTS: Services will be Friday, May 7, 2010 at 10 a.m. from the Flynn & Dagnoli-Bencivenga Funeral Home, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield. A Liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 191 Elm St., Pittsfield, with the Rev. James K. Joyce, Pastor officiating.. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday, May 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.

Ann - I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. She was a lovely lady and very blessed to have you and Jere! I know how difficult it is to lose your Mom, no matter the age or time. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
