Elena Hutchinson Hanna Roesel FLORENCE - Elena Hutchinson Hanna Roesel, 84, of Florence, died Thursday, December 23, 2010 after an illness. Ms. Roesel was born in Florence, SC., a daughter of the late Monroe and Eula Hewitt Hutchinson. She was a member of the Palmetto Street Church of God. Ms. Roesel is predeceas-ed by her parents, husbands, William J. Hanna and William Roesel, a son, Samuel Judson Hanna, a sister and brother-in-law, Atlie and Clyde Dennis, brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy Lee and Ruth Hutchinson, Maxie and Marie Hutchinson, Chalmers and Maynard Hutchinson, Sr., Hartful Hutchinson, Otis and Dorothy Hutchinson, and a grandson, Carl L. "Len" Hallman, Jr. Surviving are 2 children, William Fritz (Carol Ann) Hanna and Betty J. Hanna (Carl) Hallman both of Florence; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Hanna, 5 grandchildren; Jimmy Hanna, Marlena Hanna (Erick) Lownsberry, Wayne (Laci) Hanna, Shannon (Douglas) McGillivray, Jodie (Brian) Moore, and 7 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Palmetto Street Church of God, 3132 W. Palmetto Street, Florence, SC 29501. Funeral service will be held at 3:00P.M. Monday, December 27, 2010 at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
