Elene Loretta DiMaio Minchener, of Charlotte, NC died at 5:48 PM Monday, May 21, 2007 in her home. She lived for sixteen years in Palmetto, FL and prior to that in Jamestown, NY. She was the wife of Arthur C. Minchener, whom she married September 1, 1941, in Jamestown, NY. She was born September 27 in Falconer, NY, the daughter of Alexander and Nina DiCarlo DiMaio. In earlier years, she had been employed at the National Worsted Mills, Jamestown Veneer and Plywood, Sterlingworth, and later at Sanitary Wiping Co. She attended St. John Neumann Catholic Church locally and was a life long member of St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church in Jamestown, NY.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur C. Minchener; two daughters, Jacqueline Coan (Ronald) of Matthews, NC and Judy Denison of Dunkirk, NY; four sons, Jerry Minchener of Bradenton, FL, Jeffrey Minchener of Jamestown, NY, James Minchener of Willard, NC and John Minchener (Kelly) of Matthews, NC; 14 grandchildren, Cherie' Minchener of Atlanta, GA, Rebecca Griser of Union City, PA, Derrick Minchener of Taunton, MA, Dawn Cook of Milwaukee, WI, Jeffrey Faso of Japan, Kara Minchener of Jamestown, NY, Rochelle Perry of Aiken, SC, Matthew Coan of Jamestown, NY, Mark Denison of Matthews, NC, Michael Minchener of Wilmington, NC, David Minchener of Kennedy, NY, Andrea Minchener of Jamestown, NY, Megan Minchener of Charleston, SC and Andrew Minchener of Matthews, NC; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Aldino and Roland DiMaio, both of Jamestown; and one sister, Josephine Zach of Jamestown. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Adam Minchener; three sisters, Hilda Mountain, Delores Boutelle, and Christine Beals; and two brothers, Guido and Frank DiMaio.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home in Indian Trail, NC where prayers will be held at 7:30 PM on Friday, May 25, 2007.
