Eleno B. Bustamante

Eleno B. Bustamante was called home to be with the Lord on February 23, 2025 at the age of 78. He was born in San Antonio, Tx on July 29, 1946 to the late Luis S. Bustamante and Paula Bustos, where he spent his entire life.

He attended Cooper Middle School and Sidney Lanier High School, San Antonio, Tx. He married at the age of 16 with the signed permission of his beloved late mother, Paula Bustos. He was blessed with 56 years of marriage to his beloved late wife, Elisa H. Bustamante. A true love of eternity.

He was the second youngest son and the last of his immediate family. He was from a family of eleven; beloved late siblings; Joe, Louie, Nico, Blas, Arturo, Ralph, Mike, Oralia Bustamante.

Eleno is survived by his children, grand-children and great-grandchildren; daughter, Brenda Garcia (Juan) and sons, Eleno Bustamante Jr.(Cynthia), Carlos Bustamante(Bonnie);

Grandsons- Agustin Garcia (Kylee), Gustavo Garcia (Bianca), Michael Bustamante, Marcus Bustamante, Angel Bustamante, Andres Bustamante, Eleno Bustamante III, Liam Bustamante;

Granddaughters-Madison Tate, Emily Bustamante, Valri Bustamante;

Great Grandsons- Aran Garcia, Felix Garcia;

Great Granddaughters-Mia Garcia

In the early 70's, he served the United States Army Cavalry and awarded the National Defense Service Medal. After his service, he continued to work in construction for most of his life.

He was a kind, caring and a very humble man. He didn't smile a lot or a man with many words but when he did, it was because of his silly humor or remarks that got him and us to smile and laugh with him.

His hobbies and guilty pleasures were playing the Texas Lottery or scratch tickets; going fishing with his sons or the men from church.

Enjoyed listening and singing to classic Tejano music. I'm surprised he could remember the lyrics. It was a great day if he did! Love you Dad!!!

He loved spending time with his family especially, his grand and great grandchildren. He was so very proud of each and every one of them. Grandpa loved you all.

He was a die hard fan of the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved to collect their sports memorabilia. He was also very involved with church community; 1st Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus, Member of the Guadalupana Society, and Member of the Men's club (Men in Christ) were he served as President in the early 80's.

Eleno will be remembered for his love and dedication to family, especially to his beloved wife's family too, the Hernandez Family; Richard, Gloria, Josie, Henry, Alejandro, Lorenzo, Elena, Armandina and Dora Hernandez. He will always be a "Hero".
