With profound sorrow and enduring love, we announce the passing of Elin Ann Hjertstedt, who died on April 19, 2025, in Arcadia, Florida, at just two years old.
Elin brought joy and wonder into every moment of her short but radiant life. She delighted in the outdoors-feeding squirrels and cranes, and greeting every creature with a gentle heart. Her laughter filled the air like music, and her hugs wrapped those around her in warmth and comfort.
She was a bright light-playful, curious, and full of love. Though her time was brief, Elin's presence left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her memory lives on in the joy she shared and the love she inspired.
Elin is lovingly remembered by her devoted parents, Earl and Diahanna Hjertstedt; her older brothers, Sveinn and Lief; loving grandparents; adoring aunts and uncles; and seven cousins who loved running around with her. Everyone cherished every moment spent with her.
A celebration of Elin's life will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Pine Level Church in Arcadia, Florida. All who loved Elin are welcome to attend and are encouraged to wear shades of pink in her honor. A meal will follow the service at: Calvary Baptist Church in Arcadia, Florida.
Though our hearts are broken, we will carry her love with us always.

Elin,
I was there the day your Mama laughed you into the world. I had the honor of being able to 'catch' you, and place you into the waiting arms of your Mom and Dad. You were so wanted, and loved. I know that you are safe in the arms of Jesus. I pray that He gives your Mom and Dad and your big brothers strength and peace.
Diahannah and Earl, Sveinn and Leif, I cannot begin to imagine your pain and heartbreak. My sincerest condolences on your loss. My heart is breaking for all of you.
