Elise Lingerfelt Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 14, 2012.
Elsie Rose Lingerfelt, age 78, of North Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 14th 2012. She was born in Spalding, United Kingdom on February 4th 1934 to the late Fred Sanderson and Ellen Godard Sanderson. Elsie was a very outgoing lady who never met a stranger. She loved to socialize, make new friends and always felt comfortable in a crowd. Constantly the jokester, Elsie loved a good laugh and could always have fun with the best of them. When asked for her opinion, you could invariably count on Elsie to be upfront and honest. She met her beloved husband, Johnnie, in England while he served there with the United States Air Force. Mrs. Lingerfelt is survived by her husband, Johnie Lingerfelt of North Charleston, SC. Daughters: Denise Rose Green of Myrtle Beach, SC; Sarah Anne Ward (Charles) of Richmond Hill, GA; Mary Jane Hall (Johnny) of Browns Mill, NJ. Grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Paige, Johnny Jr., Joseph, and Jillian; 1 sister, 3 brothers and numerous other family members in the United Kingdom and Australia. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 18th, 2012 at Carolina Memorial Funeral Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406 with Chaplain Gregory R. Robertson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of Mrs. Elsie Lingerfelt to the American Lung Association, 44-A Markfield Drive, Charleston, SC, 29407.
