BEVERLY — Elizabeth A. "Bessie" (Addonizio) Angelina, 89, wife of the late Americo "Lubby" Angelina died Sunday afternoon, Jan. 27, 2008 at the Essex Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Beverly, following a brief illness.
Born in Beverly, daughter of the late Antonio and Concetta (Bevilaqua) Addonizio, she had lived in Beverly all of her life. Bessie and her husband married in 1939 and were married for over 60 years.
Mrs. Angelina worked for many years in the seafood business selling crab meat and lobsters. She was an avid gardener and had a "green thumb" when it came to her house plants.
She enjoyed her ceramics, knitting, cooking and she loved to travel. She had been a member of the Sons of Italy and had enjoyed going to the Beverly Senior Center.
Surviving her are her two children, Peter Angelina and his wife Jan of Bal Harbor, Fla.; Patricia Angelina of Malden and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Carmen Addonizio, Josephine Andreas, Theresa Stillson, Concetta Burke, and Antoinette Stillson.
ARRANGEMENTS: A visiting hour will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly (North Beverly Location), on Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01915.
