We shared a lot of memories together, however collecting cans across from her house in Nashua and going to the mall with her just about every weekend when we lived in North Lauderdale. You'll be missed Lola ♥.

The first lesson I remember learning from her was when I was around four; she scolded me when I answered the front door after she gave me a bath -- always keep your towel on. Perplexed when I was seven, I asked her in the Nashua Mall, "What does God look like? What color is he?" Serendipitously a nun next to a clothes rack and Lola were able to explain the truth to me. During my darkest days of doubting and disbelief, she enlightened me. Lola pointed up to the beauty of the sky and replied, "Who else could have created this?" She looked cool in her crisp nurse's uniform, was an expert at smoking mango trees, and prepared the best hot cakes in town. Wise and munificent, she understood the power of prayer and prayed for the welfare and protection of her family. May God eternally bless her and have mercy on her soul.
