Courageous, caring, giving, humorous. These are just four words I would use to describe my dear friend Liz. You fought so hard to overcome the illness that took you too soon. I look forward to spending Saturday with your family and friends, reminiscing about the good times we shared with you! I am so fortunate to have had you in my life. I tried (several times) to see you over the last year, and you did everything you could to avoid me...because you didn't want me to remember you the way you were in sickness...you wanted me to remember you in health! Thank you...see, you are always thinking of others! God bless you my friend...We will meet again some day! xoxoxo

It was a privilege to care for Mrs.Barker over the last 18 months. She had a lot of spunk and an infectious positive attitude. Even in the midst of her own challenges, she made time to care for other patients and encourage them in their own journey. She was a terrific lady and I am glad I got to know her. Liz has been our dear sister in law for 40 years and we are so happy to have spent time with Mike and Liz a few years ago on our long overdue holiday in Canada. No one could have done more to make this a true holiday of a lifetime. We did have some laughs and Liz introduced me to Peach Bellinis. Always in our thoughts and we look forward to seeing the Barker crowd from Canada over in England to visit us all and see our babies. Love you loads Lloyd, Kirsty and Robyn and wish we could be there with you at this terrible time. Be strong and stick together always, remember we are only at the end of a phone line. Julie and Dave

Her infectious good humour and unbounded generosity were evident to all those lucky enough to have their lives touched by this wonderful woman. I'll miss you tons, Mummy Liz. Give Harriet (and dad) a belly scratch for me.
