Elizabeth (Betty) Knobeck Obituary

Elizabeth (Betty) Knobeck, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, surrounded by her family.

Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Wisconsin Rapids Moravian Church. Rev. Olaf Anderson will officiate. Entombment will be in Forest Hill Mausoleum in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday, October 25th at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Saturday at the church.

Elizabeth was born on November 6, 1930 in Iron Mountain, Michigan, the daughter of Ben and Minnie (Mattison) Larson. She married Wilbert Knobeck, June 14, 1952 at the Lutheran Church in Ladysmith, WI.

Elizabeth attended school in Bruce, WI and later received a teacher?s certificate from River Falls, WI. She and Wilbert moved to Wisconsin Rapids after they married where she taught school in the Town of Hansen until the birth of her children.

Elizabeth was an awesome mom and a blessing to all those who knew her. Over the years she was very active in both the Kellner and Saratoga Moravian churches.

Survivors include her husband Wilbert (Bud) of 61 blessed years; four children: Yvonne Totzke, Lon (Beth) Knobeck, Darla (Will) LaBarge, all of Wisconsin Rapids and Christie Knobeck of Lakeville, Minnesota; nine grandchildren: Lisa (Charlie) Gray, Matthew LaBarge, Michele (Jeff) Bell, Tyler Knobeck, Melissa Knobeck, Drew Johnson, Derek Johnson, Seth Johnson, Katelyn LaBarge; several great-grandchildren; and sister, Clara Mae Bruger. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Virgil (Bud) Larson and sister Mary Mier.

Memorials may be designated to the Saratoga Moravian Church.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the wonderful caring people in the critical care unit at Riverview Hospital.
