Funeral Mass for Elizabeth “Betty” Helen Schneider, 93, of Dickinson will be 9:30 am, Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Bill Ruelle celebrating. Burial will take place in the North Dakota Veteran Cemetery, Mandan.
Visitation for Elizabeth will be Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 5:00 – 6:00 pm at Stevenson Funeral Home with a rosary and vigil service being held at 6:00.
Betty passed away May 22, 2023 at Benedictine Living Community, Dickinson.
Elizabeth “Betty” Helen was born in Stark County south of Lefor on February 17, 1930, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Rauscho) Hensel. As a young girl growing up in the country, she attended school in Lefor through the sixth grade.
Betty married William Schneider, the love of her life, on July 14, 1949. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, Michael and William, one daughter, Pamela. She was a devoted homemaker, mother, wife, and grandma.
She was active in Catholic Daughters, St. Anthony Club, and the Eagles Club where Bill and she would travel extensively for them. She and Bill danced through life together. Betty spent her time on camping trips, playing Bridge and Pinochle. She was a beautiful social butterfly. Betty had a very happy and blessed life filled with everything she loved.
Elizabeth is survived by her children, Michael Schneider of Dickinson, William (Jan) Schneider of New Berg, OR, Pamela (Kevin) Braun of Dickinson; grandchildren, Kristin Koons, Joseph Schneider, Amber Miller, LonDell Braun, Andy Braun, and Elliot Nielson; and several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and brother, Joseph Hensel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William Schneider; siblings Josephine Ridle, Anne Kolling, Eva Schroeder, and John Riesing; and grandchild Susan Schneider.
The family would like to thank Northland Pace, Country House, and Benedictine Community for all of your loving care.
