Elizabeth "Betty" Martha Timmins

Elizabeth Martha"Betty" Timmins, 86, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away after a brief illness, Saturday, June 18, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her family. The family is thankful for the care given by Hospice of Washington County. Born Wednesday, February 5, 1936 in Mahwah, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John Spiech and the late Theresa (Dzieniezewski) Spiech. Betty graduated from Ramsey High School in Ramsey, NJ in 1953. She also graduated from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in 1956 in Patterson, NJ. Betty was an OR nurse and Discharge Planner at Waynesboro Hospital. She was a member of Trinity Friendship Quilters in Smithsburg, MD and Shawl Shepherds at St. Ann. Catholic Church in Hagerstown. She was also a member of the Golden Bulldogs and the Red Hat Society. Betty was involved with Breast Cancer Awareness of Cumberland Valley. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Francis J. Timmins; three daughters, Lisa A. (Michael) Mimnall, Kathleen F. (Michael) O'Loughlin, Nancy J. (Barry) Walker; brother, John (Patti) Spiech; brother-in-law, Andrew L. Timmins; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Malo; three granddaughters, Jessica (Jaimeson) Power, Colleen O'Loughlin, Abby (Anuarth Bautista) Walker; four grandsons, Christopher (Jessica) Mimnall, Thomas O'Loughlin, Patrick (Michelle) O'Loughlin, Alan (Morgan) Walker; four great-grandsons, Jaimeson Power, Cody Mimnall, Maddox Walker, Felix Bautista; three great-granddaughters, Grace Power, Tierra Mimnall, Audrey Bautista; and one great-grandchild on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 10:00 am, at the St. Ann Catholic Church, 1525 Oak Hill Ave. Hagerstown, MD, with the Rev. Msgr. J. Bruce Jarboe as celebrant.

Family will receive friends at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD, Friday, June 24, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Interment will be at the Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.
