Bettie was a loving and devoted homemaker, whose life was marked by her generosity and creative spirit. She attended Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, enriching her passion for learning and community involvement.

Bettie dedicated much of her time to sewing, crafting, and entertaining friends and family. Her commitment to service was evident through her extensive volunteer work at the local hospice and First Presbyterian Church, where she was an active member. Bettie's life was a testament to her loving and happy nature, always putting others before herself.

She is survived by her loving children, Bradley, Barbara (Bob), and Brian (Robyn); her cherished grandchildren, Scott (Jennifer), Sean (Jody), Kimberly, Melissa (Gregg), Chase (Lindsey), Reid, Jacquelyn (Zev), and Daniel; and her adored great-grandchildren, Ethan, Abigail, Emily, Keira, Jack, Leighton, Angus, Miles, Mason, and Wyatt. Bettie was preceded in death by her parents, Authur and Mary Klehammer; her beloved husband, Byron "Butch" Blake; and her son, Bruce Blake.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on November 18th at the First Presbyterian Church downtown Sarasota, FL, located at 2050 Oak St. Interment and a luncheon will follow the service. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Hospice or the First Presbyterian Church of Sarasota.

The arrangements are being handled by Baldwin funeral home in Sarasota, Florida, ensuring Bettie's final farewell is conducted with respect and dignity. Bettie's legacy of love, creativity, and community service will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
