In the early 70´s, Mrs. Bracale was kind to me when I walked to and from Hershey Junior High School with her daughter Debbie. When it snowed heavily, her husband Jim drove us in, in his Chevy Impala. This was kinda a big deal to me, as I lost my daddy when I was 4 years old; so I admired that Debbie had both parents. I visited inside their home on occasion after school; sometimes to see Debbie's school projects. What stood out to me was that Liz was a model mother; she worked at the Reese´s plant full-time, but still kept a neat and clean brand-new home (Which was the only newly constructed house in our neighborhood back then). She mentored Debbie to be a devoted mother as well, I'm sure. Funny how you remember the oddest details; we used to sometimes stop at Pronio's Market on our way home; one day Debbie was sent to buy meatloaf mix; she proudly told me her mom was making one that night. Liz certainly represented motherhood of her generation well. My condolences to Debbie and her family. A mother´s love is like no other.
