Michele Grischuk Obituary

Published by Connecticut Post on Sep. 19, 2020.
Michele (Perkosky) Grischuk
Michele Grischuk, age 65, of Trumbull, passed away September 15, 2020 after a decades-long battle with cancer. Michele was born in Amityville, NY to Joseph and Mary Perkosky. Michele was a School Paraprofessional, working with special needs children in Trumbull's public schools for over 10 years. Prior to that, she was an administrator in both the Financial Services and Information Technology industries in New York City.
She loved reading, gardening, spending time with her family, and watching the deer walk through her yard. She adored James Taylor and Aretha Franklin; Jones Beach and Madison Square Park; Sons of Anarchy, British crime shows, and pigs (yes, pigs); and she made the best darn brownies her sons and their friends ever devoured.
She is survived by her husband, David Grischuk; two beloved sons, John and Michael Grischuk; her devoted sister JoAnn Markwardt and her husband Paul; and by many loving cousins.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects (for a walk through wake) on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Masks are required. Please follow social distancing guidelines.
A private service will be held for the family at 8 p.m. Interment will be private. For more information or to leave an online condolence, please visit our website at www.mullinsfh.com.

Michele could always put a smile on my face. I will always remember her sense of humor. May she Rest In Peace and be surrounded with the smiling faces of our Lord and all who have gone before her.

I was so sad to hear of Michele’s passing. I worked with Michele at Tashua school. Michele would always stop to visit me and always managed to make me smile. I will also miss our afternoon tea and desert get togethers, they are memories I will cherish. My sincere condolences to Michele’s family.

To Dave and Family,
Transitions like this are very hard, challenging, sad and lengthy. I know Dave's family has been working this through for a long time. I wish grace and love and ease of suffering to Dave and his sons, and their wider family and friends circle. I know Dave through meditation practice and hope the time ahead is healing, patient and loving for the family Michele so obviously loved and was loved by, so much.

I will offer the Serenity prayer here as a source of comfort and healing:

Lord, grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, courage to change the things we can, and wisdom, to know the difference.

May Michele rest in peace, knowing she was beloved.
