Elizabeth Godwin Collier

GREENSBORO Elizabeth Godwin Collier, 86, of Greensboro NC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 18, 2017, after a joyful day surrounded by her loving family. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 21, at Aycock Fellowship Ministries with the Rev. Donnie Pickeral, and Rev. Mitchell Godwin officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. Elizabeth was born April 5th, 1931, in Greensboro NC to the Late Ira Ardner Godwin and Iller Viola Boger Godwin. She was preceded in death by her loving husband John (Jay) T Collier. Elizabeth is survived by her children Jerry Vaughn (Linda) of Daytona Beach, FL, Vicki Smith (Earl), of McLeansville, NC and Randy Vaughn (Kim), of Climax, NC, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Elizabeth is also survived by her brother, Ira Mitchell Godwin and sister, Mary Jacqueline Godwin Roark, both of Greensboro. The family will receive friends at Aycock Fellowship Ministries - 1036 S Aycock St. Greensboro, from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service. The family wishes to extend their appreciation and love to the entire staff at Hospice.
