Elizabeth was my friend at John Burrough Jr. High. I have not seen her since the forties, but remember her a as a lovely sweet lady. Enjoyed reading her life story. I am so glad to hear she had a wonderful meaningful life..

My memories of Elizabeth go to about 1947, when we had a family reunion/vacation in Burley, Idaho and then on to Signal Mountain Lodge in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, which was owned by Uncle Charles Haight.
Even though we grew up some 400 miles apart, our families only saw each other at reunions in Idaho and Utah. Elizabeth was the oldest of the cousins, about three years older than I was.
I remember Elizabeth and Aunt Rhea coming to our home in Palo Alto, CA in about 1948-1949. She had a date with a Stanford student and she and her mother came up from Los Angeles in the family’s black Lincoln car. Aunt Rhea was the “chaperone” for this special date.
Elizabeth and her sister Marion were very faithful in attending various family reunions in Oakley, Idaho. It is a town now of about 500 people, and was the birthplace of our fathers. Our family history there goes back some 120 years.
I also remember reunions held in Salt Lake City at the home of Karen Huntsman and also at her home in Park City, Utah. Elizabeth was always interested in the details of our family history.
Elizabeth was very kind to my wife, Angela. They both had a common illness – ovarian cancer. Elizabeth would give my wife ideas about possible treatments to consider. I admired Elizabeth in her long fight with that cancer. She was positive and most helpful to my wife over many years.
