GARBUTT, Elizabeth (Betty) October 5, 1930 - March 16, 2011 Elizabeth (Betty) Ernestine Garbutt (nee: Bucar) passed away peacefully on March 16, 2011 at the age of 80 years. Our hearts are light because she is back in the arms of our dad Donald, back together with the one she loved so dearly. Betty was born in Beaver Mines, Alberta on October 5, 1930. She is survived by her children Judy (Robert) Illick, Linda Foster and Bruce (Donalda) Garbutt; grandchildren Gary, Angie, Jill, Julie and Johnny; great-grandchildren Megan, Donovan, Oliver, Katrina, Douglass, Dawson and Paxton. Betty is also survived by her sister Annette (Helen) and sisters-in-law Phyllis Smith, Mildred Davies, Arletta Wright, Dee Garbutt and Pat Bucar as well as many nieces and nephews. Betty was also blessed by many friends who were very special to her. Betty was predeceased by her husband Donald in 1989, her parents Mary and Ivan Bucar; brothers Stan, Frank and John Bucar; sisters Mary Lang and Annie Ondrik. Bettys kind, gentle and loving memories will remain with us forever. Our sincere appreciation for the loving and compassionate care that was provided by the staff in Unit 2200 of McKenzie Towne Care Centre. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 25 at 2:30 p.m. at the Nanton United Church, 2121 - 21 Street, Nanton, Alberta.
