Elizabeth Gooding

ELIZABETH (BETTY) GOODING (nee WALDEN) Peacefully and surrounded by her family, on August 20, 2009, at age 78, after a brief illness and the recent loss of husband Roy, the love of her life for nearly 59 years. Loving mother of Lynn (James Tidd), Stephen (Margaret), and Brian (Narelle). Cherished grandmother of Kathryn, Elizabeth, Corey, Laura, Ryan, Sydney, Cameron and Eric. Betty is survived by her brother John Walden (Emily) and sister Myrna Gray. Predeceased by brothers Edgar and Fred Walden and sister Dorothy Wildman. Also survived by brother-in-law John James Gooding (Norma) and sister-in-law Eileen Gooding. Aunt Betty will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. She will be fondly remembered by friends and neighbours at Head Lake, Norland Ontario, and by friends in Scarborough and Oshawa. Betty was an office administrator in Scarborough for several years and a choir member at St. Nicholas (Birch Cliff) Anglican Church prior to retirement and moving to Oshawa. Friends will be received at the PINE HILLS VISITATION, CHAPEL AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Road (at St. Clair Ave. E.), Toronto, 416-267-8229 on Tuesday, August 25th from 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, August 26th at 12:00 noon with visitation one hour prior.
