Elizabeth Ann Graveline

Elizabeth Ann Graveline, 90, of Gladwin, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015. She was born in Detroit on March 25, 1925, the daughter of Albert and Frances (Reed) Heffron. On Nov. 11, 1947 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, John Graveline in Detroit. They shared 60 wonderful years together before he preceded her in death in 2007. She had lived in Gladwin County for the last 30 years, previously residing in Coleman.

She graduated from Providence Hospital in Detroit as a Registered Nurse and retired from Mid Michigan Medical Center in Midland. She was a volunteer for Mid Michigan Medical Center in Gladwin and also Hospice of Gladwin. She was a member of St. Phillip Neri of Coleman and Sacred Heart Parish of Gladwin.

Her memory will be cherished by her children: Paul (Cathryn) Graveline of Gladwin, Michele (Gary Miller) Graveline of Newago, Martha Graveline of Grand Rapids, Elise (Edward) Hilton of Sparta, Jose (Annie) Blanco of Atlanta, Ga., and Lourdes Blanco of New York City. Her children blessed her with 28 beautiful grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Frances (Francis) Reidy of Glen Ellyn, Ill.; sister-in-law, Mary Heffron of Largo, Fla.; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Graveline; parents; brothers, Albert Heffron and James Heffron; daughter in-law, Regina (Christe) Graveline; and sister in-law, Doris Heffron.

Funeral services will be conducted by Fr. Marcel Portelli on Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, at 11 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, from 1-8 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 7 a.m. at the Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. She will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Gladwin.
