Elizabeth J. Grimm

YORK Elizabeth J. (Robbins) Grimm, 79, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at York Hospital. She was the wife of Jacob M. Grimm, to whom she was married 15 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2580 Mt. Rose Ave., York, with her pastor, the Rev. Tab E. Cosgrove, officiating. A viewing will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, at the church. Entombment will be private at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, is in charge of arrangements. Born December 19, 1934 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Florence (Winters) Robbins. She was employed as a secretary at the former BMY for 33 years until her retirement in 1997, and also worked at Rest Haven Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for 20 years. An avid football and baseball fan, she was extremely passionate about the Dallas Cowboys. She enjoyed spending time with family, attended the Mt. Wolf Senior Center with her husband, was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in York, and proudly served in the United States Air Force. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Grimm is survived by three daughters, Lori M. Brown of Hanover, Jamie L. Bradshaw of Wallace, N.C., and Lisa J. Brown of Dover; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marjorie Star of York and Eileen Brennan of York; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four siblings.
