Dear Annette,
Out paths have crossed at a convention in Springfield and at the Federation a few years ago. I had the good fortune of meeting Elizabeth and experiencing her sense of humor. I do not have the words to express my sympathy to you and your family. A loss of a child in unimaginable for most but when you have a child with complex health care needs, it is a realistic fear and at times can be a reality. Elizabeth, you and your family are in my prayers.

Annette, ive never met you or your daughters but you recently spent time with me providing advise on an issue we were having. You shared some insight into your family situation and I was immediately impressed by your devotion to your kids and the advocacy you provide to families of children with special needs. Im very sorry to read of your loss and I pray you and your family will find peace in all the wonderful memories that Elizabeth shared with you.

I just saw this news and it is heart-breaking. I first met Elizabeth in 1997 when Annette came to work with us on a project at Children's Hospital. Her special spirit helped to fuel Annette's passions and they both have given so much to the world of children with special health care needs. You were a gift, Elizabeth, to your family and to those who knew you. My very deepest condolences to your family.

Annette, I just wanted to leave a little note to say that Elizabeth was and will always be a shining light in your life. You are an incredible mother. Elizabeth was so lucky to have such a wonderful advocate. Thank you for letting me and my family into your home to see Elizabeth very recently. I will cherish that last smile that I saw on her face. She was so happy to see the hustle and bustle of my active kids around her and that was beautiful. In addition, it was wonderful to see just how much she loved your new husband, Mark, who seemed so dedicated to your family, it was amazing. Hugs and kisses to you all. We are thinking and praying for all of you at this very very difficult time. My heart is just broken for you.
