Dear Joe and all the Hooley family,

Brian and I wish we could be there at this time to offer our sympathy in person but please know that you are all in our thoughts.

I will always remember Betty making us a wonderful apple pie to welcome us to 4 Marshall 42 years ago and have cherished her friendship through the years.

You are a wonderful, close family and I know that you will draw comfort from each other.

 Love Margaret

To the Hooley Family and especially Joe:

Steve (aka the favorite SON, and I'm not sure if Jay is contesting that, but he should) just called to let me know about Beatty. I'm very sorry to hear the sad news, but also know that her suffering on this earth is over. Joe I hope you draw strength from the incredible family I know you and Beatty have; in Nancy, Jay, Kathy, Maureen and Steve and all their wives and husbands and kids. Your family has been blessed to have Beatty as the matriarch.

I recall Beatty putting up with Steve and I in college as we came to the house to fix something, I think we broke more than we fixed, but she always fed us and kepts us in line, and we needed it.

In good Irish Catholic form....my family wishes and prays for Beatty and the Hooley family with the following:

May the road rise with you

May the wind be always at your back

May the sun shine warm upon your face

And rains fall softly upon your fields

And until we meet again

May God keep you in the hollow of his hand!

Best wishes from the Murray's from Virginia!
