Elizabeth Dorothea "Liz" Hoover

Always remembered with so much love, especially at this time of year.

Thank you all for the kindness you've shared for Liz and I. For everything you all have done for us, here, in the DPS, friends, family, and personally, I am and will always be deeply grateful and I know she would be too. I am also absolutely grateful that I had Liz in my life. I would not trade the time I had with her for anything. Words just can't describe how wonderful sharing each and every day with her was. She truly was a bright ray of happiness to everyone around her. I am not exaggerating when I say she was the most loved person that I have ever known. That was something that I always admired about her. Honestly, in my mind it's hard to tell why a woman like her stuck so hard to me. It still makes me happy to think about it. I wish things had turned out differently but life just happens sometimes. If anyone is worried or wondering about me, I'm doing very well, and genuinely I hope you all are too.

It's been a year. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about you, Red. I miss you so much. Wish I could give you just one more hug or laugh with you again. You had a beautiful soul and it is greatly missed.

The holidays at work aren't the same without you. Miss you so much. Rest in peace, kind and gentle soul. Love you always

Liz was an amazing young woman, friendly to all she met, a highly skilled staff member, sunny and positive. She loved dressing up for Halloween and bringing her baked goodies to the office for us to enjoy. If you didn't know her, you missed out on having a great person in your life. My prayers and condolences to her family.

I have the honor of being the one who hired her at DPS. It was a pleasure and a privilege to count her as a friend. She will always be my favorite fake redhead! I can only hope to be loved half as much by everyone as she is. I refuse to say was because she will always be in my thoughts. My prayers are with Tiger and her family.

My dearest Liz, such a beauty inside and out. An incredibly selfless woman of God that I will never forget. She helped my family so much after the 2016 flood, I was very pregnant and very sick and she was there for me, like she always has been since I met her over a decade ago.

Tiger, my best friend from high school, I'm so happy that I introduced you to her, and her to you. Y'all make a beautiful couple. So privileged to know both of you. Love you always.

My prayers are with you during this awful time. I pray that God will carry you through and lift you on his wings. I can wholeheartedly, say Liz made the world a brighter place during her time. She always made everyone feel special and loved. My babies will always remember the sweet puppy you&Liz held to give them a "Santa Gift". She was a face that we always loved and looked forward to seeing, and I only hope to be half the woman she was.

Liz brightened the lives of all those around her. I feel privileged and very blessed to have had her in my life though the time was much too short. Rest in Peace sweet Liz. I extend my deepest sympathy to her husband and family.

Tiger, Our heart's are hurting for you and Liz's family. May God hold her in his arms. May God protect you and keep you in our thoughts and prayers. We love you very much, Aunt Laura and Uncle Bobby.

I had the honor of having Liz as my best friend. She was an amazingly giving person with a kind heart. My life greatly benefited from her being in it. I can honestly say she has gotten me through some of the hardest times of my life and I will be forever grateful for having known her and having loved her. The world is a little darker with the loss of her bright spirit.

One the best women I had the pleasure of working with She was always prepared to give you a hand with a quick smile and ever ready words of encouragement. Something I've always admired of her. Just having Elizabeth around made you feel better and I know I'm not alone in that. We all at DPS will truly miss her. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and her family and friends during this difficult time...

What an incredible young lady! Liz was forever the optimist and very little ever seemed to bring her down. I've never met a more selfless and considerate person...I will miss her!
