Elizabeth Jarman Obituary
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Mae (Isard) Maxwell, her sisters Dorothy Beemer and Jean Jolliffe, and her brother, Charles Maxwell. Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband of 31 years, George Jarman, and her son Ron Jarman. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Lorraine Knowles (Doug) and Nancy Thomson (James) and her daughter-in-law, Janna Guay. Cherished grandmother of 8 and great-grandmother of 5.
A celebration of Betty's life will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at McDougall and Brown Funeral Chapel, 2900 Kingston Rd, Toronto. Visitation begins at 12 noon with the service commencing at 1 pm. Donations in Betty's memory can be made to a Charity of Your Choice.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Ward B3 for their support and care. Also, a very, very special thank you to the staff on Riverside 2 at Fairhaven LTC in Peterborough for their compassion and care.

I was in the Amadeus Choir with Betty for several years in the late `80´s - `90´s. I remember her beautiful smile. Deepest sympathies to all the family.

My sincere condolences to Lorraine, Nancy, Janna and family - Betty was a long-time and wonderful member of the alto section of the Amadeus Choir for many years, a good friend to all and someone who made a difference to many lives. She and my Mom, Florence Adams, were great friends through the Amadeus Choir and through the St. Mark's choir, and I am thrilled that I now have as a prized possession a beautiful Royal Doulton figurine that Betty had brought to the Amadeus auction, and which my mother won in the auction. I always think of Betty when I look at it. She is someone who will always be remembered fondly, a gentle soul with a great sense of humour - she left everyone feeling better and she left this world a better place because she was in it. Rest in Peace, dear Betty - we were so fortunate to have you in our lives.
