Elizabeth M. Keeler, 98, of Rock Island, died Sunday, March 20, 2005, at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be 4-7:30 p.m. today at Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island, with a prayer service at 5 p.m. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the church or a favorite charity.
Mrs. Keeler was born October 19, 1906, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph L. and Teresa (Wheelan) Lohberger. She married Daniel R. Keeler on April 30, 1930, in Rock Island. He died December 5, 1993.
Elizabeth was a Registered Nurse, graduating in 1926 from the former St. Anthony's School of Nursing in Rock Island. She was a charter member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and a member of the former Villa de Chantal Guild, Huber Home Guild and Notre Dame Wives Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she enjoyed flower gardening.
Elizabeth is survived by daughters and spouses, Sally and Paul Boehmer, Highland Park, Ill., and Jeanne and Thomas Schebler, Davenport, Iowa; grandchildren, Daniel Zonnevylle, Illinois City, Susan Hoornbeck, Harrisburg, N.C., Beth Meza, Tracey, Calif., Anne Moore, Kansas City, Mo., and Allison Schebler, Des Moine, Iowa; step-granddaughter, Debra Boehmer, Greenfield, Wis.; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Kaitlyn Zonnevylle, Heather Holland and Savannah Meza; and sister, Mrs. Matilda Bacon, Moline.
She was preceded by brother and sisters, John Lohberger, Bertha Morris, Katherine Kehoe and Martha Lohberger.

We are sorry to hear about your mother. She certainly got close to reaching 100 years. I check the newspaper via the internet. We are in Mesa, AZ and plan to leave this weekend. We should be back home about April 1st. Hope all is well with you.
