KING, Elizabeth 'Betty' Beryl (nee Bragg)
Loving wife, mother and grandmother. Embodied by great strength, kind spirit, and genuine style. Born in Port Union, Newfoundland, 1927, passed away at St. Peter's Hospital, in Hamilton, Ontario on February 24th, 2003 of complications from pancreatic cancer. Wife and best friend of Reginald for 52 years. Cherished mother of John and Teresa of Michigan; Susan and Lu of Ottawa; and Gary and Laura of Parry Sound. Dear grandmother of Ryan, Matthew, Sean, Vashti, Dylan, Quincy and Jesse. Also survived by special nephew Don, sisters Hazel, Ellen and Hattie, and brother Roy. Predeceased by parents John and Jessie, and brothers Edwin, Donald, Walter and George. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at St. Peter's and the Henderson Hospital, as well as to Margarita, for their compassionate care. The kindness of many friends has also been of great comfort to the family. Following her wishes, cremation has occurred and a private family service held. If desired, in remembrance contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
