AGE: 87 • Perth Amboy
Elizabeth "Betty" Kovacs, 87, of Perth Amboy passed away Thursday April 10, 2014 at the JFK Medical Center in Edison. Betty was born in Perth Amboy to the late Stephen and Mary Kazai and had resided in the city her entire life. She had been employed by Chanel in Piscataway for thirty-seven years before retiring in 2011. She was a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church in Perth Amboy.
Betty was preceded in death by her twin sister Mary Glazer and her brother Stephen Kasay. Surviving are her daughters Joyce Solowski and husband Stan of Woodbridge, and Linda O'Connell-Corrette and husband Don of Edison, four grandchildren Stan, Rebecca and husband Bob, Stacey and husband David, and Ryan and wife Jackie, also four great grandchildren Ethan, Tyler, Erin and Emily.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 10 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, 531 New Brunswick Ave in Fords. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery in Hopelawn. Visitation hours will be Monday from 7-9 pm. A Christian wake service will be held Monday evening at 8 pm at the funeral home.

Dear Linda and Family,
I'm so sorry for your loss of dear Elizabeth. Will miss seeing her at the Edison Diner.
I'm recuperating slowly which is why I won't make her wake. Please know you're in my thoughts and prayers. I cherish our friendship.

I was so deeply saddened to hear of your mom's passing. She is in my prayers, along with her sister Mary. Together again, never to be separated. Thinking of the family in your time of sorrow. She will be missed.
