Frank, Brian, Darra & family,
I am so very sorry to hear of your enormous loss. Betty was such a wonderful example of a Christian wife and mom. She was a very positive and loving influence on my impressionable years of growing up. I have many fond memories of spending time at Betty's home. She always made everyone feel welcome and cherished. My thoughts and prayers are with you now.

It has been a lot of years since Elizabeth was a little girl on on Grandma Lu's and Grandpa Nel's farm in Maple Ridge. She was such a sweetheart and I have been so thankful for the kind way she cared for her dad, my brother Warren, in his latter years. Thank you, Liz, for being such a wonderful person.

Frank and Brian,
We were so sad to hear of Betty's passing. Last week I opened my Christmas ornaments and was admiring the ornament Betty made for me years ago. I will always treasure it. I hope you find confort in knowing that she is now united with dear Julie in heaven. Betty was a special lady and she will be missed by all. May you and your entire family find strength in the days ahead to cope with this unexpected loss.

Brian, Frank & Family,
Rarely in life have I been speechless, but when Brian called me, I was so stunned and saddened. Betty was a wonderful person, and someone who I always looked up to. To say she will be missed is an understatement. My prayers are with you. I'm at peace that she will finally be reunited with Julie.
My love to you all,
Charlie

To the Luftman family,
On behalf of Betty's many friends at the telephone company - going from Northwestern Bell, to U S WEST and finally Qwest - I want to express my sincere condolences upon hearing of her sudden passing. Betty was a joy to work with. Everyone knew 'Betty from Treasury' and looked forward to taking her call. In our new shared life as retirees I know she really did enjoy the time she could spend with her family.

Elizabeth and I were classmates and friends at Minneapolis Central High School. That was in the mid-fifties…and what a great time to be a teenager in Minneapolis. She was affectionately known as Liz in our little “gang” of serious students, and I remember her well as a happy and fun loving, yet quiet, girl studying hard to assure a better future. And she was a cutie too! So there is no mistake about that, I have included an old photo of her all dolled up in her white gown for our senior prom.
Liz radiated an aura of happiness and health when we met at our 50th class reunion 2 years ago, and I am shocked and saddened to receive word of her death. My deepest sympathy is with her family knowing that they have indeed lost a wonderful person.

Frank, Brian, and Family,
This is certainly a shock to all of us. Betty was a beautiful person inside and out. I have happy memories as a child of sleepovers with Julie and playing kick ball in the yard. I can still hear Betty laughing at the silly things we did. She will be missed.
Love,
