Elizabeth Ann McCash, also known as Beth or Beth Ann, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025, in Naples, Florida, at the age of 86.
Beth was born on July 25, 1938, in Oakwood, Michigan. She graduated from Belleville High School, where she met her high school sweetheart, Richard McCash. Their love story blossomed into a lifelong partnership when they married in 1958. They shared 56 wonderful years together until Richard's passing.
Beth is survived by her son, Dr. Christopher McCash, (Marie) and their daughters, Michelle and Chloe. She is survived by her granddaughters Lauren and Lindsey Beaber, the beloved children of her late daughter, Dr. Linda McCash. Beth leaves behind her brother Gary Bastedo, (Janet) of Michigan; her sister, Lissa Bastedo-Penner (James) and their daughter Chelsea of Hawaii; her former sister-in-law, Verna Bastedo and many nieces and nephews in Michigan. She was predeceased by her husband Richard and her daughter Linda.
Beth Ann began her professional life as a secretary in Ypsilanti, Michigan. After the birth of her two children, Linda and Christopher, she chose to devote herself to raising her family. The returned to Belleville and settled into a home on Fairview Court. Beth Ann ran a day care from their home during this time. It was a warm and welcoming place for the neighborhood children.
In 1973, the McCash family relocated to Naples, Florida. There Beth Ann took on a new role as a Physical Education Aid at Shadowlawn Elementary School. She worked at the school until her children reached middle school age and then retired to focus on her family and home life.
Beth Ann's warmth and generosity were felt by all who knew her. Beth and Richard's home was the heart of the family, a place where holidays, anniversaries, graduations, weddings, and many reunions were celebrated. Their warmth and generosity touched everyone who entered their doors, creating lifelong memories for family and friends.
Beth Ann's presence brought comfort and joy to all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched through her kindness and hospitality. May her memory bring peace to those who loved her.
Beth was a true angel, she was the most adventurous woman with the most infectious spirit, known for her silliness and her big heart. She will be missed forever by her loving family.
Beth was a vibrant soul who supported the ones around her unconditionally. She will be remembered by her sense of adventure, her love for any excuse to dress up, and the many loved ones that she will continue to shine through that will carry on her ways.
Beth had a loving, kind soul, a zest for life and all things fun in the sun and on the water. She loved a great celebration, her family, her cats and her lifelong friends that she treasured, she will be dearly missed. Our world will be a little bit dimmer without Beth in it.
