Mrs. MoonMrs. MoonMrs. Moon was often spoken and as easily said as the word Mom. She was a surrogate mother indeed, so kind, generous and nurturing. I have so many memories of this beautiful and amazing woman from my childhood. She taught me so much, as a mother would teach her own child, but also help guide me into adulthood. I reflect on how much she truly influenced my own life and success and did so without any expectation of thanks or recognition. It was simply done out of the kindness and generosity of an amazing heart. Thank you, Mrs. Moon, for all that you did and know your legacy will always shine bright in the many lives you touched so deeply.

Mrs. Moon, as I so affectionately called her, was like another mother to me and my siblings. My Mom and her were so alike and installed in me the love of nature, thoughtfulness, and staying true to one's self and principals.
I have so many fond memories from earliest childhood days to introducing her to my family and children at my Mother's memorial of which I was so tickled when she related (and remembered) the story of her picking me up School Street in Wayland after I had escaped from Kindergarten.
I will miss her dearly, but I will always keep her in my heart.
