Nichols, Elizabeth 5/22/1937 - 4/18/2017 Venice Florida Passed away in her home in Venice Florida after a long battle with dementia. Beth was born in Grand Rapids Michigan. Her parents where Edward and Mary Peet. She graduated from Western Michigan University in education where she met her husband Fred. Beth spent many years home raising her three girls until she returned to work as a paraprofessional in Kalmamazoo School systems. She was also interpreter for the deaf and later returned to Western Michigan University and taught second grade. She retired in 1999 and enjoyed an adventurous life traveling and living with Fred in Coldwater and Venice Florida. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Fred and daughters Kimberly Nichols, Mary Beth Kaiser and Amy (Tom)Smitchols, four granddaughters and six great-grandchildren. A memorial is planned in May at Coldwater Lake where Fred and Beth lived each summer. Family is indebted to Tidewell hospice, especially Kathy and Katie. Donations may be made to Tidewell hospice at 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
