On Wednesday, June 30, 2021, Elizabeth Jane Norris passed away at the age of 75, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Elizabeth was born on January 31, 1946 in Fairfield, CT to the late Lionel and Abbie Norris. She received her teaching degree from Southern Connecticut State University and was an elementary school teacher in the Lakes Region area for 33 years. Elizabeth had a passion for teaching and being an advocate for children. She loved spending time with her granddaughter, going to the Maine coast with her friends and studying astrology. Anyone who ever met Elizabeth would describe her as one of the nicest, kindest people you will ever meet. She is survived by her son, Christopher French, granddaughter, Jordyn Aldridge-French, brother John C. Norris, nieces Sarah Norris and Kate Norris Garms. A Celebration of Elizabeth's life will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Cremation Society of NH is assisting the family with arrangements. I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Elizabeth at Boscawen Elementary school. She was patient and gentle with the students (and staff). She always had a smile and kind word for all. Elizabeth was so proud of Jordyn and talked about their time together!
