Elizabeth Scott Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 11, 2025.
Elizabeth Ann Scott, aged 69, passed away on September 6, 2025, at home in Larkspur, CO. Born on February 15, 1956, Elizabeth led a life marked by her deep faith and a commitment to enriching the lives of others through her work as a Geologist, French teacher, and an ESL instructor.

Elizabeth graduated from Littleton High and pursued higher education at Mount Holyoke College, later obtaining a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Colorado at Denver. Her career was diverse and impactful, reflecting her passion for both the sciences and languages.

She was a dedicated member of several congregations including South Evangelical Presbyterian Fellowship, Christ Episcopal Church, and Faith Lutheran Church, where she was deeply involved in community activities and services.

Elizabeth's hobbies were as varied and rich as her career. She was an avid participant in printmaking, skiing, hiking, and horseback riding. Her love for French culture was evident in her active participation in Club Sevigne and Club de Vingt. Additionally, Elizabeth cherished the time spent at her ranch raising Cashmere goats and chickens, and she was a member of The Arapahoe Hunt and engaged in cross-country skiing.

Elizabeth leaves behind her husband, Mark Scott; children, Colin, Allison, and Megan; siblings, Chris Pfister, Peter Pfister, and Claire Paradice-Pfister. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Ron Pfister and Marie Pfister.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Castle Rock, CO, on September 20th at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Compassion International, where Mark and Elizabeth sponsor a child.

Elizabeth will be remembered as a loving and caring individual whose thoughtful nature and enthusiasm for life touched many. Her legacy of kindness, dedication to her faith, and love for her family will continue to inspire all who knew her.

I am deeply stunned and saddened by the passing of Elizabeth. She was full of grace and kindness. She will be missed, but I am confident that she is with our Lord now. May God wrap his arms about her family as they grieve.
