Lizzy, We don´t know each other, I met your son Nolan, what a sweet young man. I have adopted Ms. Bridget Jones, your kitty. I will take very good care of her. I think she is happy. Bianca (Grapevine, Texas)

This is what I wrote for Lizzy's celebration of life ceremony.

We are here today to honor the life of someone truly extraordinary-my best friend, my mentor, my soul sister, Lizzy.

Lizzy was more than just a person you knew; she was someone who you felt-right down to your soul. From the moment you met her, she saw you, really saw you. She had this almost magical ability to see into the deepest parts of you, and somehow, without judgment or hesitation, she always knew the right thing to say. Her advice came from a place of love and understanding. Lizzy was the kind of person who, no matter how much pain she was in, gave the benefit of the doubt to everyone, never uttering a bad word about anyone.

Lizzy was a gifted hairdresser, but her talents didn´t stop there. She had a way with words, too. Her poetry could touch your heart, and let´s just say, some of her steamy, risque writing... well, she might have even helped me with a bit of that once or twice. That was Lizzy-fearlessly uninhibited, always authentic, and unapologetically herself. She was the life of the party, bringing joy and laughter with her sharp wit and unmatched sense of humor. Even in the toughest times, she had this beautiful positivity that could light up the darkest of rooms.

But at the center of Lizzy´s world was her son, Nolan. Nolan, your mom loved you more than words could ever say. You were her first priority, her greatest joy, and her heart was full because of you. Everything she did, she did with you in mind. And I know she would want you to carry that love forward in your life, knowing how proud she always was of you.

Lizzy faced many hardships in her life. She battled health issues from a young age, and six years ago, she began her fight with breast cancer-a fight she faced with the same courage and strength she brought to everything in her life. Through it all, Lizzy never lost faith. Her love for Jesus remained steady, even in the face of pain and uncertainty. That faith gave her a sense of peace and purpose, even in the hardest moments.

Lizzy made an impact on everyone she met. She touched lives in ways that words can barely begin to describe. And though today our hearts are heavy with grief, I want to take comfort in knowing that her spirit-her laughter, her kindness, her wisdom-will stay with us always.

It was an honor to know her, to be her friend, and to share so many beautiful moments with her. I know that for all of us who loved her, she will forever be a part of our hearts. Lizzy may no longer be here in body, but her soul, her spirit, will live on in each of us.

Rest in peace, my dear friend. You are loved beyond measure, and you will be missed more than words can express.

Lizzy´s skills as a hairdresser were top notch as she brought out the beauty in everyone. Time in her chair was a gift to me as she nurtured my heart and soul which she continued to do through her illness. My kids took to her as she kept it real and counseled them without judgment or condemnation. What a treasure she was. She allowed herself to be vulnerable to benefit those she loved. Lizzy was the epitome of courage in adversity. There is no doubt in my mind she instilled these values in Nolan.

Lizzy - you are gone too soon. Your memory will be cherished.

I met Lizzy when my son was in daycare with her son.
My son just started collage, so we have known each other for a while now, watching and talking about our only sons growing up to be a young men together.

Lizzy was both Wonderful Friend and the best Hair Dresser for me.
Always caring, supportive, and great person to talk to about almost anything.
A lot of fond memories of the time I spent with her.
Lizzy, you will be missed very much ..... but I am glad you are not in pain any more.

Until we meet again... I love you Lizzy, and our thoughts and prayers for her family and friends.
