AGE: 72 • Toms River
Carmen F. D'Annunzio, Jr. of Toms River, NJ, formerly of Chatham, NJ, passed away at Ocean County Medical Center in Brick, on Friday, September 7, 2012 at the age of 72. Carmen was born in Morristown, NJ to the late Carmen, Sr. and Virginia (Cresitello), D'Annunzio and lived in Chatham for 36 years before retiring to Toms River seven months ago. He worked as truck driver for W.J. Casey Trucking and Rigging in Union, NJ for over 30 years before retiring in 1993.
Carmen was the beloved husband for 48 years of Virginia (nee Hoffman). Loving father of Virginia (Anthony) Petrilli, Gloria (Ronald) Loubet, Carmen, III, George, Vincent (Sharon), and Brian D'Annunzio. Dear brother of Judith Ann (Eric) Binner, Fran Bucino, and the late Phillip D'Annunzio. Cherished grandfather of seven grandchildren.
Visiting will be held in Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial, 7 Summit Ave., Summit on Tuesday, Sept. 11th from 4 to 8 PM. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 12th beginning at 9 AM in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass in St. Patrick's Church, Chatham, at 10 AM. My heart goes out to the family of Carmen. He was a good kind man and he will be greatly missed. When I heard of his passing all the memories of us as children came flooding back, we had lots of fun together as children. I can just see him and I eating walnuts and hiding the shells under the rug. Rest now Carmen you deserve it. With love you cousin, Carol

Dad,
I know you are in a better place and out of the pain you lived with for years. You fought a fight that many men could not have even imagined. I hope you know that I so proud to be your son and to carry your name. I miss you dad but I know you are proud of me and will still lead me and guide me thru my life.
