Another Halloween has come and gone, and my sister and I found ourselves thinking of Mrs. Tripp as we do every Halloween. She was such a lovely lady. We group up in Verplanck and she would greet us at the door each Halloween with a smile and a "Oh your costumes are wonderful!", and she would have a silver trap in her hands where she had neatly placed full-sized bars of Hershey chocolate and she would invite us to take one. She made us feel so special that to this day, my sister and I hand out full-size candy at Halloween and tell everyone how wonderful their costume is - keeping Mrs. Tripp close in our hearts for the day.

Betty was a resident of the Hearth at Glastonbury and I had the pleasure of getting to know her over the past two years. Betty was quick with a smile, with beautiful blue eyes that shone bright like her spirit - happy, funny, energetic and a true lady. I always loved dancing with her at our many events - she would always be there to enjoy the music and dancing. She will be dearly missed by all of us at the Hearth and my deepest condolences go out to her family and friends.
