Watts, Elizabeth Cole "Betsy" Passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her children on January 29, 2013. She was born January 7, 1924. She is preceded in death by her husband, Chet and her longtime companion, John Bannon. Cards may be sent to the family in care of Jennifer Watts, 3200 Central St., Evanston, IL, 60201. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the Chicago Botanic Garden Tribute Program, 1000 Lake Cook Road, Glencoe, IL, 60022. A memorial service will be held March 17 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Chicago Botanic Garden.

To the Watts family,my condolences. My mother passed away in January of 2010 two months after my father died. Both were passionate gardeners. If there is a garden "above" Steve's mother and mine will take charge and my Dad will be behind the roto tiller.
