Aunt Ella and I had strong but unique relationship, lately it was via FB messenger. She loved her sister Dorothy and from time to time check in to see how she was doing. It is not a surprise that they were both called by God within a couple of weeks of each other. May you both rest in peace.

Auntie Ella you were a second mom to Bonnie and I. You were always there encouraging, loving and giving us what we needed to hear. I will miss you while on this earth but I know I will see you one day and what a day that will be. Love you June

Mom, I love and miss you, but I know you are now well and safe in the arms of Jesus. No more suffering, no more pain. You didn't have an easy life and I witnessed all you went through when I was young, but you persevered through God's strength. Thank you for the way you helped me raise my two children, Melodie and Gabriel. They are who they are today, partly because of you. I could always count on you for encouragement and prayer when I had my own struggles. Now that you are gone, I feel like a piece of me is missing. I catch myself wanting to call you, but then realize there is no one there to pick up. I know I will see you again, mom. I look forward to that day. Your rest is well earned.

Ella welcomed me with open arms into the church and I knew I could always count on her for support. Such a lovely, caring, lady who always tried to cheer everyone up. We shared the same song we loved "I don't know about Tomorrow" We had such a lovely bond. I will miss her greatly. My condolences to all of the family. She certainly was a role model for many women with her dedication to the Lord.

I learned way Back in the 80's of my mothers deep empathy and compassion , I was crying my eyes out over a broken heart and my mother, Ella knelt down beside me put her arm around me and wept along with me in my deep pain .
