Ella J. Goodin

GOODIN Ella J. Goodin, 83, Albany, passed away Thursday November 24, 2005 at Kimes Convalescant Center, Athens, from complications following surgery. Born December 14, 1921 in Johnson County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late William G. and Catherine A. Cox. She was a homemaker. She is survived by a son, Charles Devena of San Antonio, TX; a grandson, Michael Devena; and a sister, Louise Salyer of Columbus, OH; several nieces and nephews; and a special caregiver, Marilyn Dalton of Athens; and homemakers of Athens Co. Dept. of Job & Family Services. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husbands Charles Devena and Arthur Goodin, brother Marion Issac Cox and sisters Amanda Mae Hawk, Cora Lee and Hazel Cox. Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at BIGONY-JORDAN FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Raymond L. Salyer officiating and burial in Alexander Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 noon till time of services at the funeral home.
