Passed away at home on December 31, 2012 at the age of 94. Predeceased by her parents Albert and Alice. Beloved wife of the late James MacLachlan. Dear mother of Hector (Colleen), Catherine Gates (Lynn), Barbara Renaud, Judie Abel (John), James (Bonnie) and Susan Adams (Bob). Cherished grandmother of Chris, Donald (Joycelan), Andrew, Robert (Jesse), Patrick (Bethany), Michelle (Michael), Ken (Lesley), Jennifer (Gerardo), Allison (Scott), Heather, Geoffrey and great grandchildren, Ian, James, Ashley, Devon, Emmett, Penelope, Caleb, Leah, Lauren and William. Survived by her sister Caroline Robinson. Predeceased by her 6 siblings. Will be missed by her best friend Mary Pillutti. Ellenor was a retired teacher in Windsor. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at the
Victoria Greenlawn Memorial Chapel and Visitation Centre, 1525 Hwy 3, (1km west of Walker Road) 519-969-3939
on Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Service of Remembrance at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be left at

Very sorry to hear the passing of Mrs.MacLachlan. She was a great teacher and I was were very fortuante to have her in grade 5 at D M Eagle. She taught us the values of hard work and discipline. (most of us rowdy boys felt that strap at one time or another and we certainly deserved it!) Speaking on behalf of many of my classmates she was a teachers teacher and we all were very fortunate to have had her on our education paths.

To James and Bonnie and the entire family my condolences during this difficult time.

She lived a wonderful life, was a great teacher too, Got to know her very well as she went from teaching grade 2 to grade 3 to grade 4 and then to grade 5 as I moved up each year.
